Baris, virtual goods still fly under the radar much like the video game industry up until this year. Conferences like VG Summit are shedding some light and opening the eyes of both investors and users - there is quite a bit of revenue being generated as well, as, new business ideas and models emerging. It's a great time!


good points. If mmog's are a kind of virtual world, then the industry revenues between virtual goods and subscriptions is probably near $2B/yr (half of which is WoW). well beyond under the radar :-)
